ENCORE - Youth Arts Camp Courses 2018
Visual Arts
Students will participate in two visual arts classes. They will explore art concepts in a variety of media including: found object sculpture, drawing, painting, mixed media, and more. Classes will engage students in the fundamentals of art with an emphasis on creativity and self-exploration.
Performing Arts
Students enrolled in the performing arts classes will be studying creative dramatics, movement, improvisation and vocal music. Ensemble performance and teamwork will be a strong component of the classes.
The performing arts portion of the camp will provide students the opportunity to explore and create an original production with the guidance of the theater arts teaching staff. Stage movement, character development, improvisation, vocal performance and choreography are just some of the areas students will experience
This year we are excited to have Craig and Kris Peterson returning to Frost Fire as our directors. Craig, originally from Larimore, ND, has played numerous lead roles at Frost Fire over the years and is performing professionally in Des Moines, IA. Kris is currently a Professor of Theater Arts. They both have collaborated together writing, directing and producing plays for children.
